This course has been designed to meet the requirements of STCW sections A-III/1 as well as of the Article 57 of the Rules on Ranks and Certification of Seafarers (National Gazzette 124/15).

This course also meets the requirements of COSWP - Code of Safe Working Practices.

The attendees that successfully complete the course will gain the required standard of competence that will enable them to be familiarized with the arrangement of high voltage installation on board a vessel, as well as the protection models of high voltage installations, then to control the operation and maintenance of isolated, grounded distribution system, to know to functions of protection devices and their use. Also, upon successful completion of the course, the attendees should be familiarized with safety requirements required for high voltage installations, including the risks associated with high voltage.

The certificate High Voltage at operational level can be obtained by seafarers that sail / are planning to sail on vessels equipped with electrical installations over 1000 V, and satisfy the health requirements.

The course is intended for crew members that sail as ship's electricians, or as 4th and 03rd engineers.

The certificate High voltage at operational level shall be valid without a time limit.


Gaining a certificate

The course has been approved by the Ministry of Maritime Affairs, Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Croatia. The attendee who successfully completes the course will receive the certificate issued by the respective Ministry.
